6 tips on handling stress in the workplace for programmers

As a programmer, we face new challenges every day. Meeting the deadline is one of the toughest tasks to be done because the duration of time between is always not enough. This kind of situation bring up an intense pressure to us and eventually build up the stress level within us.

There are a lot of ways we can do to deal with this kind of situation as different people has different kind of interest and view. Below are 6 of the most effective ways on how to handle stress in the workplace for programmers.

1. Walk around your office.

We as a programmer often don't realize the impact of just walking around the office can actually help us to reduce our stress level. By walking, we are actually exercising our bodies. Exercising has been known to be the effective way of reducing all kinds of stress.Don't worry about looking like a mad person walking around the office as programmer working environment tends to be more professional and pretty sure they will understand.

2. Talking to others

Put the stress aside of you by talking to people around you even though they might not be interested in what you are talking about. Just by simply talking, our brain will slowly release the stress within our brain and self generate for fresher mind.

3. Hear music

Music is a powerful sound that able to give us different kinds of feeling such as feeling motivated, feeling relaxed, and feeling awesome. If you workplace does not allow you to listen to music while you working, leave the place as soon as you can because that place is worst than hell.

4. Find something to eat

Eating to release stress is not often the best methods for your body as you might get obese. But it is one of the most effective way of releasing stress. Most company emphasis on programming or developing stuff tend to always provide food for their employees so that they able to work in a more efficient way.But just a piece of advice, make to sure keep track on how much you eat everyday and burn the same amount. Remember that healthy body are the most important aspect of our life.

5. Rest 5 minutes for every 30 minutes

Resting for every 30 minutes can help to boost your brain active level and eventually make you be able to work better. Most programmers unable to cultivate this method within their mind because of the random ideas that suddenly pop out in our brain at a random time. What we do when we have the idea of the work that we stuck? We will keep on doing and doing it until we finally be able to complete it. It's good for the company, but not good for our body. Remember to rest fellow programmers.

6. Go outside and see the nature. (Green plants or anything that good for your eyes.)

Staring on green plants will give you the relaxing feeling that you need. Try to stare on the nature as much as you can everyday even though you are not feeling stressed.
